It would be important that a person can develop skills that would help him maintain focus better. Losing focus could also stem from several factors and identifying what they are and how to counter them would be important. This could lead to play that is more effective.

Knowing how to control arousal is also key. One is better able to function when he is relaxed. Knowing how not to immediately panic would be most beneficial to your game. This can be accomplished through meditation and breathing exercises.

The proper mindset is also important. One should know to let go of any mistake and remain confident despite the error. Visualization and goal setting plays an important role in this too. One should establish what kind of player he is and work up to it.

A person should expect and also welcome change. This would give him room for more growth. This also would improve his flexibility. Opponents can be armed with tricks of his own and their would be many of them in any sport. It would be important that a person can adjust to their game too.
