What To Know Prior To Psychic Readings

By Ruthie Calderon

Knowledge of the future is an alluring thing. Psychic readings can provide with you a possible outcome of your future. It is important, however, to understand how they work before you go in for one.

Before you go to a psychic or fortune teller, you must know for yourself that you do not have a specific scheme or motive. A fortune teller cannot answer very specific questions like if you will marry your current boyfriend, if you will get a job at company x etc. In fact psychics will avoid answering these questions because they are close ended and will jeopardize their credibility if it did not manifest the way the person wants it to. More than that, you do not want to cloud the fortune teller to say what you want to hear because your future might not be what you want it to be.

A good psychic will do most of the talking than you. She or he will only confirm the information he reads about you. This is important to let the fortune teller guide the question. An authentic fortune teller will be turned off if you steer the reading to the direction you want and if you refuse to listen. This is also helpful to avoid frauds because talking less would make it harder for any form of manipulation or trick.

Listen for details that will confirm that the fortune teller is authentic. While a psychic won't be able to communicate a "code word" you had with someone who has passed on, they will pick up seemingly random tidbits of information. The tidbits might not make sense to you at the time - it may take time after the reading for you to connect the memories and remember how the details pertain to you. It's important not to be skeptical and to try and stay open to what is happening.

Know the difference between a medium and a psychic. A fortune teller can do what a medium does but not always applicable the other way around. Mediums can communicate with the dead while psychics communicate and connect to your aura to know and foretell the details about your life.

No matter who you are booked with, make sure to go in open-minded. If you go in with a medium expecting to hear from your dead mother, there's no guarantee that's who you will end up with. The medium can not pick and choose which person comes to talk to you through him or her.

Finally, if something doesn't feel right during the session, terminate it. A real fortune teller will never give you winning lottery numbers or predict your day of death or a tragedy. Fraudulent psychics are focused only on making money, while real psychics want only to help you. If you have a psychic who wants you to buy merchandise on a regular basis or increases their fees with every visit or curses your family in order to keep you coming back, you are likely dealing with a fraud.

To have your fortune read is thrilling, intriguing and chilling. With an authentic fortune teller, you can prepare for what is to come. With an open mind, remember that these readings are only guides and should not dictate every step you take.
