Learning To Forgive

By Evan Sanders

There's inherent madness in all real things in this life.

Without a little bit of madness your life is going to lack depth. Without depth, you're going to feel disconnected from what you could truly be. When you find yourself disconnected, you end up being lost.

I think you probably get the idea.

The amazing thing about life is what happens when you find people to surround yourself with who believe in you, support you, encourage you, and help you become the best version of yourself you can possibly be. These people will bring the best out in you and be there for you through the thick and the thin.

If you happen to come across people who believe in the beauty of your dreams, hold onto them as long as you can because they don't come along that often. Those confidants are people who believe in what you are capable of and see you for what you could be, not just as the person you are now.

It's one of the rarest things in the world to have a support system that can make you a better person. Try to find one. Build one for yourself. Because when you have this support system, life becomes easier and easier as you are faced with challenges and obstacles and have people to talk to about it.

Having amazing people in your life is critical. But there's another crucial aspect to living this life in a pleasing way that comes to the forefront as well.

Learn to love and forgive those who have hurt you.

Forgiveness is the thing that miracles are made of. People are going to make mistakes. When you really stop to take a look at everything, you end up realizing that people are incredibly complicated down to their cores and it's hard to really understand them at all. Humans are not simply beings. We are going to make mistakes. We are going to mess up. That's just part of living.

Forgive them anyway.

Life isn't all black and white. In fact, it's a very very colorful show. Knowing this, there's a lot of room for mixing of colors in all of that spectrum of life and mistakes are part of that mix. Some mistakes are going to hurt a whole lot more than others, and while it hurts, you must learn how to give the gift of healing to yourself and to another.

No matter what happened, you have the ability to heal yourself. When you forgive someone, you set yourself and another free.

That's the good stuff.

That's the best type of life.
